玄牝² （Genpin²）

「穀神不死，是謂玄牝。玄牝之門，是謂天地根。」《道德經．六章》 「玄」乃幽遠之意，「牝」為雌獸、陰性能量的代稱，老子視之為「道」，這個陰性（Feminine）能量即是老子核心思想——對「守柔貴慈」、「柔弱勝剛強」的反覆提倡。
本作品試圖將此東方哲思與酷兒性（Queerness）作結合，以作為性少數（LGBTQ+）、非二元性別（Agender）與女性戀者的視角，探討陰性情慾，女體與陰性不再作為單方面被物化、凝視（gaze）、可慾（fuckable）的存有，而是擁有主體性、能動性與創造力的「性的實踐者」。 「穀神不死，是謂玄牝。玄牝之門，是謂天地根。」《道德經．六章》 「玄」乃幽遠之意，「牝」為雌獸、陰性能量的代稱，老子視之為「道」，這個陰性能量即是老子核心思想——對「守柔貴慈」、「柔弱勝剛強」的反覆提倡。

Genpin means “feminine energy” in “Tao Te Ching” by Lao zi 5000 years ago. It’s an old philosophy that discuss the power of being tender and humble. This work likes to connect Genpin (the feminine energy) with queer theory. As a LGBTQ+, agender and gynephilia, the eroticism to me could present / empower our subjectivity, agency and creativity. Reject to be one-side gazed, longed for and objectified if we don’t want it.
